Goooooo Cocks!!

Charley's inaugural Carolina game was last night, and I'm so happy that it was a shut out! (USC 34 NC State 0). I'm pretty sure she likes being a Gamecock! (don't worry all you haters...we have her Clemson gear ready for Saturday).

Meeting Jrew!

We are in Nashville this weekend, meeting a very special new member of the family! Thomas Jerome Rose, IV, (Jrew) was born three weeks ago today! We are so excited that Charley and Jrew will grow up together (they are cousins)! I'm sure we will cherish these pictures in 18 years when they are going off to college!

Baby Dedication

This past Saturday, we had a special celebration for Charley and two of her friends, Brady and Daniel. It was a time to praise God for the gift of these babies and to promise in front of friends and family to raise them in a godly way and point them to Christ during the time that we have with them. My parents and Donald's family came into town....it was awesome to have our families and friends there to pray with us. Words cannot describe the joy we have in our hearts for our little girl...for her to know the Lord and serve Him one day is our biggest hope.

Kinda Giggling

Charley has started "kinda giggling." It's not an out-right giggle, but it's definitely a sweet little noise that's preceded by a big smile. I couldn't resist putting this almost-giggle on here for our families to see, so stay tuned for the real deal.
She has also started butt-scooting. She will dig her heels into the ground, lift her booty and then move (not very far). It's similar to the "crab walk" that we learned in elementary school P.E. class, although I don't believe she'll win any races anytime soon. Maybe I'll catch it on video one day.

Mini Melons

Exciting news!! Charley's cousin, Jrew, was born on Friday!! Yay!!!! He is such a cutie. They are only three months apart, so we're excited that they will grow up together!! Jrew is in the hospital this evening b/c of jaundice, so please lift him up in your prayers.

So, Donald planted mini watermelons and normal size cantaloupes in our garden this year. Their vines have taken over not only the garden, but the patio as well, but, thanks to the bees, we have lots of melons! We finally cut one of the watermelons open this weekend, and it was pretty good! It was so cute b/c it was so small!!

I haven't posted any pictures of Charley recently (other than the one of her body double in my last post). She is getting so big, and her personality is starting to come out. She's such a sweet girl. Here are a few pictures that I took today... She's like, "Mama, what are doing with that THING in my face again??! (the camera). The second picture is an "almost-smile" while daddy is zerberting her neck.

Look Who's Walking

Yep! Our amazing three-month-old superstar started walking last week!! Okay, so not really. That's not Charley even though it looks like it from the back. It's a little girl who was being watched by Donald's sister last weekend, and it freaked me out on how similar they looked from behind... I was like, "It looks like my baby is all grown up!" [sniff]. Although Charley is NOT walking (or standing, or sitting, etc.), she did roll over for the first time the other day! But no one really witnessed it. She was on her tummy for "tummy time" on Saturday, and my mom and Donald looked down, and poof, she was on her back! I'm very happy about this b/c I've never seen her even try to roll over. I was thinking about starting to bribe her with candy. I would roll over for candy (okay, I don't give my baby candy...stop freaking out!). But since she flipped over on her back so quickly, and I've never seen other attempts, I bet this turning over was an accident, and she was probably scared and thinking, "WHOA. What just happened?! I'll never do that again!"
